A beautiful Tonalist quality oil on board, of the Atlantic shoreline probably around East Hampton Long Island.. The size is 13 1/2" x 11 1/2"...With its great frame 21" x 19" its signed lower left F. DeHa??? This artist has sold for thousands, in auction... All these are the good features..The artist is very well lised, his work is in 6 Museums. and many private art collections. The painting does have a condition problem , in the water forground, beneath the waves ... The paint has a rippled efect with some inpainting.. I show this in my photos, and around the signature .. It can easily be restored. I've priced it accordingly, I'm selling it as is!.. I've started it very low with no reserve, to sell.. Franklin Benjamin Dehaven N.A. (1856-1934) ...This artist lived and was active in New York. He was best known for landscape and coastal marine painting. Based on his birth certificate, Franklin B. Haven was actually born Benjamin Franklin Dehaven in Bluffton, Indiana on December 26th, 1856.. Dehaven later arrived in New York City in 1886. He became a student of George Henry Smillie. Having made a reputation as a poetic landscape painter of Rocky Mountain and Florida subjects he also concentrated upon rural New England and Atlantic shoreline scenes, especially around East Hampton, Long Island, such as this great painting.The artist known read more
