American Presidents Spoon Collection Wm A Rogers DESCRIPTION This is American Presidents Commemorative Spoon Collection, silverplate edition. The phamplet says that t are 34 spoons, however, t are 35 spoons but places for 36. (Don't understand that). It says that 34 Masterpieces of the Silversmith's Art. Each spoon, has a different President. At the top of each spoon appears the President's portrait; originally sculptured from clay. Directly below his portrait both the number of his presidency and his dates in office are accurately etched in; adding to the educational features of the Collection. Then, running down the handle of each spoon is the President's full name embossed in large letters making for easier identification. The finest detail of all, however, is that which is engraved into the bowl of each spoon. They have taken a scene from the most important event occurring during each President's term in office, and have dramatically set that scene into the full dimensions of the bowl. Also comes with the Collector's Case. These spoons do need polished! I polished one of them which you can tell the difference. I also tried to get a good pics. I have taken with & without the flash but it is hard to get. They will be absolutely gorgeous polished. One end of the case is torn. This is just another item that was in the basement of my 93 year old grandmothers. This stuff has been down t for YEARS!! So we don't know exactly how old anything is.
