Up for bidding is a replica flag, known as the Monmouth Color, from the American Revolutionary War. This flag was traditionally thought to have been captured from the British at the Battle of Monmouth. In actuality it was probably American, possibly a divisional color of he 1st Pennsylvania Regiment (per Richardson). The flag is custom made and 100% cotton. It has not been flown and is in excellent condition. Its measurements are nearly accurate for the preserved piece, specifically 5'x5'3'' , which is a little larger than the preserved flag, but probably more accurate to the original dimensions, since portions had been lost over time. My flags will last as long as any factory made flag. However, if it does become damaged/torn in a few months or a year you can send it back and I will be happy to repair or replace it. There is a sleeve to hang the flag on a pole about 1 inch in diameter. Grommets can be added if one desires.Check out my other flags. Combined shipping is available.
