French Ormolu Figural clock. Amphitrite, wife of Neptune, in a classic pose petting her goose, which is often depicted pulling her across the waves in a shell boat. Over a Twin Train, Bell Strike, Silk Thread, and 8 day Movement bearing No.287 with an extremely appropriate Sea Shell Dial. Mounted above a MALACHITE Plinth adorned with a nice frieze made up of numerous seashells all above another plinth of MALACHITE supported by ornate shell knobs. CONDITION: The Movement is Clean. Keeps time. Silk thread is in good shape. Chimes on every ½ hour and every hour.
