Submitted for your consideration this evening is this Amston Silver Company large sterling silver serving fork in the Gladstone pattern, which Replacements Ltd. claims was discontinued in 1890, though Amston Silver Company was a division of Ellmore Silver Company, which took over Frank M. Whiting & Company (who also manufactured this very same pattern circa 1891-93) around 1939. Kind of confusing. This fork measures 9 1/4" in length, by 2 1/4" widest width, weighs a hefty 3.53 troy ounces, and appears to be in excellent overall condition for its age, but with some nominal surface wear and light bowl scratching from decades of use and polishings. T are NO monograms, engravings or removals, making this an ideal replacement or addition to any vintage set of Amston, Gladstone pattern sterling flatware. Please see my other listings for more fine antique American sterling, including a large serving spoon in this same pattern . I would be happy to combine shipping charges if you are the high bidder on more than one of my items ending within a reasonable time frame (no more than 72 hours apart please). Thank you for your interest!NOTES TO HIGH BIDDER (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY): Add $4.00 for U.S. Postal Service, First-Class Mail (carefully boxed), or $5.50 for Priority Mail shipping for anyw in the United States.
