This is just one of a few different, original Vintage Model Car, Hot Rod and Truck Kits that I currently have at Auction. Check out my "other auctions" for info on the other ones. Happy to combine your Auction "wins" to save you shipping costs!! . . . . . No reserve on this long-ago built-up, original AMT Annual 1/25-scale plastic 1961 Ford Galaxie Convertible Model Car Kit. Been sitting in a smoke-free and, generally, dust-free Model Car collection for many years. This mainly stock-built Galaxie was long-ago assembled and has some custom touches in the build. Definitely not a professional build on this Galaxie and it is missing its original hood. A replacement hood has been put into place, as you can easily see in the photos. Looks like a resin hood but feels like a plastic hood; not sure what the story is on this. Anyway, this replacement hood is included and fits very well. The windshiels isn’t cracked or broken but has some old glue-residue visible on it. The window posts and vent posts are straight and aren’t bent or bowed. Both visors are also in place. The interior is complete with steering wheel and floor-shifter. The undercarriage was left unpainted, too, and is fastened to the car body with the correct four metal screws. All of the tires/wheels spin easily on metal axles and all roll smooth, straight and fast. Three of the four wheel covers are in place but the right front cover is missing. There are no extra parts and no box is included with this nice Galaxie. Again, long-ago built-up and is definitely not mint. An easy model to prep for a nice paint job or just leave and enjoy as-is. PLEASE NOTE: this model car was long-ago assembled using model glue and occasionally, over time, pieces and parts may come loose from the car while in transit, even when well-packed.
