Up for auction is an Athearn AMTRAK passenger train. It contains one powered F7 unit and one unpowered F7 unit diesel engines. Both # 157. It has 6 passenger cars. Included is a Mantua AMTRAK 200-ton Crane Car in box, in great condition.The engine has been tested and runs great, forward and backwards and does not hesitate at low speed starts. Mechanically good condition. Wheels and gears have been cleaned and lubed. One of the engines is missing 2 wheel trucks details and the horns are broken off. Otherwise the exterior body and paint are in good condition.There are 6 cars: Mail Car #9987Streamline Coach Passenger Car #5221Streamline Coach Passenger Car #5221Streamline Diner Car #8039Streamline Vista Dome # 9354Passenger Observation Car # 3339All have kadee style couplers. All 6 cars are in good condition overall, but the Observation Car has a broken wheel truck and has only one set of wheels on one end. The other end is fine. The engines and cars tracked and ran well on a working layout.Previous owner ran a wire through each car for lighted interiors, so it was difficult to take pictures since 5 of the 6 are wired together. It's up to you if you wish to keep this set up or take the wire out.These have been in storage for a long time and are dusty. I am selling these items because they do not fit in with my layout plans.
