Anasazi Jar - Salado Salt or Gila Red. Dated 1200 - 1300 A.D. by Archeologist James Crunkle, Director, White Mountain Archeological Center, St. Johns, Arizona. I purchased this wonderful example of Anasazi pottery directly from James Crunkle in February 2001 (see autographed copy of James' book "Mimbres Mythology - Tales from the Painted Clay" currently on My Auctions on Ebay). This Anasazi Jar is 7" Tall and 7 1/2" wide. Note: This vessel was restored in the 1920's. One side of the jar has been filled in. James notes that this jar came from private property. This is a great piece of Anasazi history. And it is very cool. See its companion piece also on My Auctions.
