Ancient Ireland Ortelius Huge Map 1606 This is a very large scale reproduction of a map of ancient Ireland drawn by Baptista Boazio and published in Antwerp by A. Ortelius in 1606. Measuring 45 1/2" x 35", this large-scale historical image is printed on very heavyweight satin paper and displays like a work of art. This item is most suitable for framing, is a wonderful vision of long ago, and would make a perfect gift for yourself, family, friends and colleagues. Original photos existing today were often folded or separated by institutions for ease of storage. The original photos did not have any folds, separations or vertical lines in them. These imperfections, as well as other problems on the old originals such as fading, stains, tears, library stamps and other blemishes were unintended by the original photographer/publisher. To correct these problems, every photo reproduction we offer has been professionally restored by specialists who remove the defects and adjust the colors of the images so that the finished print captures the original beauty of the work as envisioned by the photographer about a century ago.
