T are no damages and no repairs. The exquisite age-acquired patina is untouched and original as found. Expected corrosion and surface wear are a consequence of age and extended burial. Remarks : The two outstanding characteristics of Jatim beads are the thin layer of mosaic cane slices over a monochrome core, and the segmented or hot-pinched appearance of at least one of the ends, suggesting that several beads were prepared at one time.
