This rare Vase is from the SPECIAL VASE COLLECTION of the Jade Road Inc. This very beautiful YIN YANG PHOENIX LI INCENSE BURNER was carved from a Semi-Translucent WHITE Nephrite Jade gemstone sometime during the Ming Dynasty. The body of this YIN YANG PHOENIX LI INCENSE BURNER is supported on three curved and stylized feet. Each leg of this gorgeous incense burner is adorned with a mysterious Foo Lion face motif. The most stunning aspect of this artifact is the beautiful carving of a Chrysanthemum in full bloom that decorates the top of this YIN YANG PHOENIX LI INCENSE BURNER. This exceptional artifact exhibits highly stylized Shang motifs of yin yang phoenix birds and dragons. This vase is in GOOD Condition, no major cracks or chips but the top of the lid has been professionally repaired and re-attached. The natural white color of the jade has been altered by time to possess a gorgeous dark brown patina that has been naturally infused into the gemstone to create a stunning matrix. Traces of dirt are still left in this artifact as it was uncovered from centuries of slumber in the earth. This magnificent gemstone artifact has been blessed by the hands of time and the skills of a master jade artist.
