Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine Volume 1 Number 7 1970 Mick Jagger on cover This issue features a multiple page interviews with Michael Wadleigh, Director of Woodstock, and John Schlesinger, who directed Midnight Cowboy. Other articles/interviews include Bo Widerberg (Director), Phil Feldman (Producer), and Glauber Rocha (Director). Sweedish filmakers are the topic of another article. Issue includes extensive reviews of the films "Groupies" and "Antonio Das Mortes". Lastly there is an article on the experience of watching films at the Thalia Theatre on Broadway. All of this and the traditional small bits on film, music, and gossip of the time. Early Interview "Magazines" were printed on traditional newsprint, and this issue shows many of the condition issues related to a medium which was meant to be read and thrown away. Some pages are tattered and chipped at the edges, and the spine shows some wear with small to medium sized tears. The paper in this area has become brittle with age, and many pages are torn in the center, where there is the most strain from reading. Issue was not folded correctly at some point, and looks a little cock-eyed but is entirely readable, all photos and articles are intact.
