His work is in many private collections including David Bowie, Marco Pierre White, Donna Karan and Sir Henry Rothschild. Exhibitions include the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, Museum of Contemporary Art, Barcelona, Museum of Arts & Design, New York, Gramercy Park Hotel, New York and many galleries across Europe, USA and Asia. In 1988 Andy Shaw gained a First Class BA Hons in 3D Design at Manchester Metropolitan University and Alfred University, New York. Andy’s first exhibition in New York was held at the Gramercy Park hotel in 1996. On his return Andy made front page headlines in The Guardian newspaper after one of his discarded spin paintings was found in a skip. The Andy Shaw spin painting was mistaken for a Damien Hirst and exhibited at Adam Dant Gallery in East London. The painting later sold at a Bonhams auction.
