ANITA HARRIS West Highland Terrier Dog Figure Signed by Anita & Sam Johnson Mouse over images to see larger version supersize image Description This beautiful dog was produced by the Anita Harris Art Pottery Studio, in Stoke on Trent, England. Anita Harris was Head of Design at Poole Pottery before moving to Moorcroft to design for Cobridge Stoneware and Black Ryden. She opened her own studio in 2005 and has created an amazing range of ceramics. The dog takes the form of a West Highland Terrier spaniel and is decorated in a bright vibrant red colourway, with green flashes to complete a wonderful design. Anita has pioneered a technique called 'Living Glaze' and this leads to natural crazing on the outside as the piece ages. This antique effect will occur throughout the life of the piece as it reacts to differing changes of temperature. Adding to the appeal of this particular model is the signature of Anita Harris herself and head designer Sam Johnson in gold gilding to the base. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Size and Weight Size - 14.6cm (5.75 inches) in height.
