ANNA SYKORA - "SCRAFITTO II ." UNIQUE ARTIST PORCELAIN The works of the Berlin based ceramic artist Anna Sykora, a short while ago an insiders tip, today already attracts collectors and connoisseurs all around the world. Using traditional methods of working with porcelain Anna Sykora captures attractive forms and decoration, which not without purpose hark back to the 50s - but just as much suit today's mood. It is all about shape and colour working together to provide Sykora`s unique art. She hand throws each piece, and then paints and decorates them. French porcelain from Limoge is used for each body. To the interior vessel walls she adds her shiny surface using a material called 'terra sigillata'. Sykora then draws different designs on each piece making them an individual statement of creativity.
