Victorian Elm Shabby Chic Carver fireside nursing Chair This dates from around the 1900s and is made from elm, It has a very beautiful shape with a wide spindle/ stick back and carver style arms. This has been sanded down and painted in fabulous Annie Sloan 'Antibes Green' Chalk paint which is from her new range of colours. This is a fabulous vivid green which has been waxed with Annie Sloan dark wax to give an authentic shabby chic finish. This chair is not a modern reproduction, it has a makers mark imprinted on the back 'J.M & S' and you also see its age & quality through the curved shape of the seat base, ie where it moulds to your bottom! This would be a great fireside chair or would look fabulous in an entrance hall or even a childs bedroom as a nursing chair, it really is very pretty & stands out from the crowd in the bright green colour we have chosen. By using a bolder shade we have tried to give a more up to date look as colour is in! This chair would look perfect in a room with a neutral backdrop & with this balance of colour the chair would sit right at home, buy this if you like the bohemian, eclectic look, it will fit right in! This chair is in very good, sturdy condition, please note I would not use this as a dining chair as it is quite low, it is much more suited to be used as an occasional chair, the dimensions
