You are bidding on a 3.5" hand carved ANRI statue of The Immaculate Heart Of Mary. Mary Most Pure is beautifully created in this ANRI carving. Beautiful does not come close to describing this wonderful carving. St. Luke says " Mary kept all the sayings and doings of Jesus in her heart ". Devotion to the compassion, love, virtues of the Immaculate Heart of Mary began in the late 11th century. On July 21, 1855 the Congregation of Rites approved the office and Mass of The Most Pure Heart Of Mary. I find no lines, cracks, chips, breaks or discolorations on the carving. The colors are bright and clear. The Anri stamp is still present on this piece and was among many Anri carvings. A beautiful devotional carving that truly presents the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This humble Virgin Mary is crowned with a ring of flowers. NO RESERVE
