Approximately 6.25" tall. Very good condition with a scratch on birds head. Handcrafted, beautifully designed, and whimsical figurines sought after in the collectors world. It takes three months to create an ANRI wood carving. Juan Ferrandiz (1907-1997) was an artist, poet, author, and illustrator born in Barcelona that believed children are the hope for the salvation of mankind. It was Master Wood Sculptor Emmerich Mussner who created most sculptures of the ANRI Ferrandiz figurine series. Altar Boy wearing red cassock and white surplice. Fine enameled detail along curds, collar, and bottom of surplice. There is a sweet bird perched on trumpet and a cat at his feet. In 1912 Josef Anton Riffeser founded the ANRI Company, which he named by combining the first two letters of his name. Marked with pressed in Ferrandiz facsimile signature and ANRI sticker.
