Antique clock made by ANSONIA in Gingerbread wooden case in 1882. This is the one of the earliest Ansonia clocks. It has silvered penulum, dial bezel and ornaments on the glass. All in original condition. The clock has time and chime movement stamped "9 1/4". T is also; "ANSONIA CLOCK CO. USA, NEW YORK" and "Patented June 18, 1882" . It chimes on the hours and half hours on the coil gong. The clock runs minimum 8 days from one winding. Key is included.
The clock runs very well, it has clean movement. The glass is original as well as the paper dial and hands. The wooden case needs claning, best way - restoration. The wooden case seems to be recoated many years ago with clearcoat.
