SYDNEY VIEWS PHOTOGRAPHER, PRINTER AND PUBLISHER - H. PHILLIPS, WILLOUGHBY N.S.W. 1930s This is a soft covered souvenir album dating probably from the 1930s, perhaps soon after the opening of the famous harbour bridge as this is featured on the front cover. The publication details (see above) are printed below the first photograph, Town Hall, Sydney. There are 24 unnumbered pages, some with a full page single photograph, others with 2, 3 or 4. The photographs are all in sepia shade. Most of the major buildings of Sydney are featured, there is a nice view of two very old cars waiting at the Toll Barrier, there are some small photographs of the underground (rather less usual for a souvenir), some of the photographs are of more distant views: Circular Quay from Footway, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Rose Bay, Vaucluse and Watson's Bay, Aerial view from St Patrick's College, The Gap Watson's Bay, The two views of bathers - see scans. The style of the men's costumes also suggests a 1930s date - no later I think. The book is held together with poriginal staples but the centre page has pulled loose. It is in very good condition but there is uneven fading to the front cover. POSTAGE TO AUSTRALIA AND ANYWHERE WORLDWIDE WOULD COST £6, EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS £4 Cheques are always welcome.
