Antique 10k Garnet Cocktail Ring, Stunning Garnets This is a really beautiful antique cocktail ring. The ring is solid 10k Yellow Gold prong set with garnets. This is a size 6 or 6.5. The top of the ring is 7/8 inches in diameter, with a dimensional arrangement starting with a top center garnet chaton of 8mm. The center stone is surrounded by a lower layer of eight 4mm garnets chatons, the lowest layer consists of sixteen 3mm garnet chatons. The garnets are scratch, scuff, and crack free. T are some "fleabite" chips on the facets on some of the stones, including the top stone, but these are microscopic, and only visible under magnification. The polished condition of the facets is basically like the stones were just set, adding to the sparkle and clarity of the piece. The gold on the ring has minor use/wear marks, but no major flaws, and the back is round and not bent out of shape. The entire piece weighs about 9 grams. This is a really nice antique piece, with a beautiful claret color, and it is unusual to find something like this in this very nice condition!
