Super Adorable Early Gebruder Bing Teddy Bear with Original Red Bing Tag! Teddy has his original Bing metal tag on his arm, which is so rare to find.... The red painted Bing tags were used after the silver button and before the blue tag, so this bear's manufacture can be dated to sometime between 1919 and 1927. The tag reads "Germany" and has the Bing Werke logo. The red paint is wearing off a bit, but is still readable (see photo). Teddy has gold mohair, fluffy and clean in places, with some significant loss in other areas, so please refer to photos for details. His nose and paw stitching is original, with I think a few stitches added to the nose. As you can see in the close up pictures, teddy has some wear to one side of his muzzle. The nose is firm and not leaking, so the fabric will hold nicely for a long time to come if he is well cared for. His paw pads have been recovered in a brown felt, and I think much of the original felt is under there, so he could perhaps be more authentically restored. He's a nice weighty, excelsior stuffed ted, sturdy and with a wonderful kind of slouchy posture that gives him a really unique personality.
