Click Double your traffic. Get Vendio Gallery - Now FREE! This is an antique Victorian era very heavy ring. Made of solid 14K gold with large oval shaped hand cut amethyst stone. Stone is 14 mm by 9.5 mm by 5.5 mm in size. Has European 14K gold hallmark: "585". Ring is beautifully custom made with very impressive detail. Fron width is alittle over 1/2 inch. Shank widths from sides to back are: 1/3 inch, 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch. Ring was originally for a man but could be for a lady as well. Ring looks impressive on most fingers (great pinky ring for guy). Ring is a size: 8 but consider that right hand fingers tend to be alittle thicker than left hand fingers, (same principle applies in case left handed). Ring can be resized by your local jeweler and I recomend you choose one who uses the laser method as oppose to the solder method. (When it comes to resizing any ring with stones, I recomend laser method). Ring is very heavy. Weighs: 10 grams. It came from our Victorian era jewelry collection. It was well kept. As shown in photos 3 and 4, stone has just has slight wear along some of the facet lines which is to be expected for ring this old but can be buffered out but fine the way it is, for it's very old.
