ANTIQUE 15K GOLD TURQUOISE PEARL DIAMOND TASSEL DROP BROOCH c1870 TESSIER LONDON A superb quality antique solid 15 carat gold (tests thereabouts) brooch or pendant; beautifully made, its top modelled as a stylised bow, with a foliate link long chain drop holding a fancy two-part tassel section with pearl chain drops; set throughout with lovely turquoise cabochons, lustrous pearls, engraved decoration and tiny glistening rose-cut diamonds to the bow. In its original fitted box, by Henry Tessier, 'Manufacturing Jeweller to the Queen'. A wonderful quality, deeply beautiful and fabulously collectable brooch - very wearable too! CONDITION : All original and very, very good. Minimal wear, negligible denting to bow. Slight disparity in turquoise colours natural and perfectly normal. DEFECTS : None. DATE/MARKS : Around 1860/70. Not marked. DIMENSIONS : Over 3 � inches total drop, 46 mm at widest point (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or � of an inch diameter.
