Please email with any questions. Antique circa 1890 picture frame, gold leaf on wood and molded plaster, 19 1/2" by 15 1/2" outside dimensions, 13 1/2" by 9 1/2" opening. The frame is 2" deep- not including the molded decoration on the face. Fragment of a paper label on the back reads: FRAMES & ART GOODS. The gilding is original. This lovely frame seems to have been neglected for quite a while. Aside from the obvious areas of molded plaster loss, it is quite dirty. The coved and flat areas of the frame show some craze lines with dark areas and specks on the gilding. There are crack lines in the molded plaster decoration and as you would guess, it is quite fragile. We will do the best that we can to pack it but please handle with care.
