An outstanding cross stitch sampler made for the 1876 centennial celebration. Stitched with silk on punched paper. The original 13 states are handwritten around the border of the sampler. Beautifully done with only minor fading. In its original beautiful gold frame with wood back. A fantastic original piece fresh from a Maine estate. Frame measures 17.5"x13". Viewable area of Sampler measures 14.5"x10".
