Antique 1800's Key Wind Reverse Glass Painted Mantle Shelf Cottage Clock! Clock has Reverse Painted Glass Lower Tablet and Original Paper Label. It measures about 12 1/4" tall x 8 1/4" wide x 3 3/4" deep. Brass Mechanical Wind-Up "Time Only" Movement and Includes the Original Brass Pendulum, but No Key. I couldn't find the makers name anywhere, the movement is unmarked. When wound, the clock started immediately and keeps good time. The case has some issues. The painting has some flaking, the base is missing one side, and the latch handle is a little loose. The painting of the lady playing the flute for the swans is wonderful. The original paper has a great drawing of an American Bald Eagle and is in nice vintage condition. Clock uses a standard clock key. I am not a clock expert, but this clock looks German to me. The movement looks identical to a 19th C. MUSTERSCHUTZ German Cottage Clock w/Reverse Painted Glass clock that sold on Ebay recently. This item will be sold with no reserve. Michigan residents must pay sales tax, international winners will be responsible for customs fees.
