Antique 1864 Fay Family of Cleveland, Ohio & Jacob Veren DawesFamily of Cummington, Massachusetts.If you go to find a you will see more information & photo's.There is one I have also in this album but I have more that are not there.You will also find others from this Album including Bryon Fay Dawes!My client's Grandmother married Jacob V. Dawes when he had movedTo Ohio & he died young. My client would be 96 now. These are thesame Dawes Family (William Dawes) that rode the same night as Paul Revere. Although I believe this is the line of Williams brother Samuel.There are 29 Carte De Visite & 21 Tintypes. I did manage to get mostPhotos in the pictures but not all the tintypes.The Album is in rough shape as you can see. Unglued from the binding.And there are a couple of the front papers that are loose. Hence whyI was able to include the first page in the picture showing the originalDate of the Album of October 21, 1864.I also included the back page where Dorothy Dawes Chillman confirmsWho's album it was originally & handed down to her. The Chillman'swe're my clients parents who in their own right were interesting.James Chillman created the Architectural Department at Rice University.He was taking students to Rome in the 1920's.
