This is an 1865 Civil War era. bound 12 issues of Peterson's Magazine. It contains hundreds of various wood and steel engravings with 12 color Latest Paris Fashions of the year 1865, one for each month. There are also hundreds of stories, articles, poems and music of the time. The book is in fair condition for being 147 yrs. old, with the front cover detached and taped with the first few pages, but the text of the magazines are all complete and in pretty good condition. There are a few foxing spots that can be erased, but most of the engravings are just fine. Attached to the auction are just a few pictures of the engravings from within the book. A great gift item for the clothes designer, fashion connessuer, historian, etc. Please Note My Feedback and See Pictures.
