Vintage antique 1867 handcolored map. Very rare period 1867 map. The map is titled Plans of Westchester, West Farms, Morrisania, Westchester Co. and Part of New York City. This is now mostly the Bronx. I see many fascianting areas, with the named home and land owners, period villages and towns, the roads, the railroads and much more. I see Throggs Neck, named islands, Unionport, Schuylerville, Westchester PO, Olinville PO, Williamsbridge PO, Olinville No. 2, Olinville No. 1, Fordham PO, Tremont PO, Fairmount, Belmont, West Farms PO, Morrisania PO, Mott Haven, Fort Washington, Port Morris and much more. A beautiful map. The map is in very fine condition. This is an antique map and not a reprint or reproduction. The handcoloring on the map is period to the map, this is before color printing. The map is from the very rare 1867 Beers Atlas of New York and Vicinity . The map is a fascinating and historic period look at this area at this time.Nice outside ornate border, printed on thick paper and no printing on reverse. The map is in nice shape and would frame and display quite beautifully. The size of the map is 14.5" by 17.5".
