It is the first of 4 volu mes, but the only one I have. The EMBOSSED covers are nice with GOLD lettering. The gold gilding along the page edges is nice . Yes there is shelf wear but this book is over 130 years old (according to the cop yright date) . Inside are engravings from famous artists. The condition is good. T here are a few tears and rips . There is NO writing or missing pages that I have seen. No bent or dogeared pages. Some shelf wear and the binding is a little loose. The original owners na me is on the cover. This book measures 11" x 9" and has 482 pages. TH IS IS A UNIQUE RARE BOOK OF LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST.
