Up for auction is an ironstone plate made by Wedgewood in England and dates to 1883. The brown transferware dates to the aesthetic period featuring animals and geometrics in an oriental theme. The plate is in good condition; no breaks, cracks or chips though there is some discoloration due to age and crazing to the surface. The plate measures 6-1/2 inches across.
