Pattern No. 4307 published by the Butterisck Pub Co. Patented Great Britain Nov. 12 1898. "Child's Coat with box front and skirt back attached to a yoke and having an inverted plait or gathers and with or without the collar, cape or cuff." It belonged to my grandmother (b.1896) but was likely originally purchased by her mother. It has been stored in our family steamer trunk for well over 70 years along with blouses, dresses, mink stole, other 1910s/1920s/1930s/1940s sewing patterns, needlepoint, vintage hankies, hand embroidered tablecloths, antique books and more - all coming up for auction on ebay.
