PRETTY NORTHWOOD ~ NATIONAL GLASS CO. BLUE SPANISH LACE ROSEBOWL!Beautiful example of Victorian era glass rose bowls...introduced in 1899 as Opaline Brocade, this pattern was designed and manufactured by the Northwood Company, then in Indiana Pa. It was made solely by Northwood and possibly National Glass after their takeover, but has not been made as a reproduction since that time until Fenton did so...all of the reproduction pieces bear Fentons oval logo on the base bottom. Our piece is the original Northwood or National Glass piece in extroidinary condition. There is some speculation that this pattern was originally of English origin, but even if true, it is still pre-1930 blown mold opalescent, not a modern reproduction. Great pattern and design. Pretty blue glass accented by the white opalescent lace pattern throughout throughout. No chips or hairlines. Measures in at 4" tall. One of two examples in this pattern that we have listed...be sure to look in!
