The gems in these pieces are old and most likely originated in Colombia (emeralds) and India (diamonds). No Treatments, I only carry natural color, genuine gems as produced by nature. This is a one-of-a-kind set due to the stones that it contains, it's age, and it's provenance. This set has survived in almost perfect condition for over 120 years. Old emeralds are desirable as they are natural without treatment. Something that cannot be said of most newer emeralds, even when they come from such reputable stores as Tiffany's as I have observed. I had bid in the Doris Duke estate auction which contained a natural emerald bead and diamond necklace that she had purchased. It had appraised at $50,000. It sold for $231,500.00.T are not many pieces of jewelry such as this left.
