1487 SMITHFIELD AVE LINCOLN, RI 02865 Antique 18thC Pennsylvania Portrait Oil Painting, Deputy Secretary James Trimble …… Hand painted on a 11 ¼” wide by 14 ½” tall by ¼” thick wood panel this early Portrait Oil Painting is 18 th century. Along with this painting is an old piece of paper from the family that reads, “James Trimble, 1 st Deputy Secretary of State of Pennsylvania, after the Revolution. Married to James Peale Sister? George R. Bullitt, 308 Freey Rd. Old Lyme Ct. 06371.” … Like many antique wood panel this 18 th century Oil Painting spit down the middle and has lost some paint following the grain of the wood. A past owner stabilized all this with a custom made wood cradle on the back.
