I will be selling a large number of interesting antiques including Tribal art, Chinese, Japanese, and European antiques. It is likely that I will be selling over two days so please check again on FRIDAY as there will probably be more pieces for salw. PLEASE NOTE: This auction is in GB Pounds Sterling. This is a very well carved antique mottled green jadeite figure of Guanyin. It dates to the late 19th or early 20th Century and the milky spinach stone has some great veining making this a very attractive piece. This is certainly jadeite and it cannot be scratched with the sharpest of knives. I am selling it at a very low starting price and with no reserve. Condition & Dimensions Excellent condition. Light wear but no damage that I can find - please study the photos. It is quite a good size and stands about 4.7" / 11.8cms tall. I will be posting from WEDNESDAY 5TH DECEMBER to MONDAY 10TH DECEMBER so payment must be received by SUNDAY 9TH at the very latest. PLEASE be a little patient with the post - I will get them posted asap but I work on my own, often have a fair amount to post and I do pack carefully. Any delays by the postal services either at my end or abroad are rarely my fault. I always post out at the latest 3 working days after receiving cleared payment but sometimes an item is slowed up by a backlog of post or delayed whilst being processed through customs. To give you an idea it generally takes about 3-7 working days within Europe and 9 - 14 working days to the U.S. / rest of the world however, at this time of year, just before Christmas, the postage networks take slightly longer than normal so please bear this in mind! If speed is of the essence then I can use a courier (DHL / FEDEX etc.) but prices for couriers start at around £30 / £40GBP for the very smallest object and VERY quickly escalate depending on size, weight and destination. Please note also that there has been a considerable hike in postage prices by the Royal Mail this year.
