Up for auction to U.S. customers only is a nice old coat and hat rack, probably from the 1920s but perhaps earlier. The bent wood is probably pine; it is very light, but sturdy. The finish has blemishes and there are chips on one side of the cigar-shaped wood piece (see photos). I'm not sure it was ever hung on the wall because there are no holes anywhere along the top rail indicating nails, screws or hangers. It is 26 inches wide and the hooks are 12 inches tall. It has no maker's name so I can't say it was made by Thonet but it certainly is in the same style. A nice piece for your vintage hallway, bedroom or almost any place that holds clothes, towels, hats or other hanging items.I don't know anything else about this item so please ask questions. Thanks for looking and please check out my other auctions.NOTE: I have found that the Ebay shipping calculator is not always reliable so please use the shipping cost as a guide only. Do not pay for the item until I send you an invoice with correct shipping cost. Sorry, but I have ended up losing money on shipping charges. I also reduce shipping cost if I can find a cheaper shipper.I try very hard to satisfy all my customers, and I think my feedback shows it.
