Antique German Art Nouveau Kayserzinn Jugendstil Pewter Cigar Oil Lamp, Circa 1900-1905, Designed by Hugo Leven. This German pewter oil lamp is in good condition with the normal amount of discoloration, a few scratches & some very tiny dings on the stem and handle. It has a patinated finish. I did not clean it, I'll leave that up to the buyer. This "Aladdin" shaped oil lamp originally had a finial at the top & the spout had a screw-in cap, both are missing on this lamp. This lamp is known as a cigar lamp & customarily adorned a gentleman's library table a century ago. It measures just over 9" high, 5 3/4" from handle to spout & 4 1/2" across the base. The bottom of the base has the Kayserzinn mark & model No. 4439 in an oval. Underneath the mark is the number "7". It has a stunning Art Nouveau design with whiplash lines & stylized flower buds gracefully covering the lamp bowl & the base. This antique Kayserzinn cigar lighter oil lamp will make a great addition to any pewter or Art Nouveau collection. Displays well. Or you can rub this Aladdin lamp & hope that a genie will appear to grant you a few wishes!
