Antique 1930s candleholders -- 3 plumb bob weighted ends, keep the flames upright; German cleverness. Here are three complete tin candle holders to hang lit candles onto Christmas tree branches. Oh, yes, they really did that! These are very clever inventions-- you placed your candle into the holder then hung the holder onto a branch... the pine cone- shaped weight at the bottom kept the holder vertical like a plumb bob. The idea was that the lit candle, if bumped, would remain upright and not light the tree on fire.Included today is a group of three complete candle holders, one wire with a weight missing, on bent wire with no weight or holder and three holders broken off from wires. The complete holders are 6" (15 cm) long. The pine cone weights are 1" (2.5 cm) long.Please see the photos for more details.
