Hello, this is a great item up for auction it is a Gibson guitar , J45, 1944 War Era ‘Banner’, Serial #2455-37, with original finish. I appreciate your support and interest in this item. The late Mr. Welch, a Gibson specialist replaced the original turners in 1995. The original tuners are with the case - the case is not original. This guitar has always been with the family and has a great history. The thick neck is in great shape and could use some adjustment along with the original bridge. The body is in good shape and has a great sound. In the past month this guitar was inspected but not officially appraised by two Gibson shops and the general opinion based on history and use is that it falls more into the (restored play class), yet it is definitely a collectable as well.
