I recently acquired an extensive antique Chinese/Asian collection. I am now listing the woodblock prints and art portion of this estate collection. Many rare woodblock prints from the one owner estate.Up for auction is an original antique Japanese woodblock print by Chikanobu Yoshu Toyohara dating from the late 1800's. Title of the woodblock print is "Rikuseki" and is from the series "24 Paragons of Filial Piety". Marked by the artist in the lower corner. Also marked on the left edge. Great detail and colorful image. Woodblock print is in very nice original condition with no tears, no holes,� no folds, no water damage, no fading and no creases. Has no tape residue and has never been framed. The edges and corners are in nice shape with light normal wear from age. The color is excellent with no trimmed or cut edges. Actual woodblock print measures approx. 14 1/8 by 9 1/4 inches. Very rare woodblock print and would look great framed. Found safely stored away for years at a recent 95 year estate of along time collector and from a smoke free home.
