Prior & Willis Antiques Description Antique 19C Victorian (or possibly early 20C) mahogany twin pedestal desk, dressing or writing table. Wonderful desk, with a great colour, age and patina. The top has been repolished at some point historically but has still retained its age and character. Solid with no loose joints and the drawers slide smoothly. The desk would look great in the right location. Good small size and proportions. Can be taken apart (3 pieces) if necessary for transport. Overall dimensions: 1080mmW x 540mmD x 740mmH (plus 55mmH upstand). Knee hole: 595mmH x 400mmW(max). There are some historic knocks, marks, repairs and alterations, as should be expected with antique furniture. The drawers have some ink staining inside. No keys or catches on the doors. Where appropriate, smaller items will be sent using a parcel delivery service and you should allow around 1 week for delivery. Larger items will be sent via a specialist antique furniture courier. Usually this will be our driver and van, however if you live in the West Country, Wales, the far North of England or Scotland we use reliable, careful specialist courier companies. Please allow around three weeks for deliveries using our van or four weeks for other couriers (although often we will be much quicker than this). As standard we offer a one man delivery service and the driver will need able-bodied assistance to carry/position large/heavy items in your home. Our insurance policy (like most others) only covers curb side deliveries. Our driver will happily help to carry items into your home, however in the event that any damage is caused to the item or home, this will be at the customer's responsibility. If you require an urgent delivery please call or email , as we are likely to be able to organise this for you. Terms of Sale Antique furniture is old and we have done our best to describe any major faults. The buyer should expect imperfections such as shrinkage cracks/gaps, slight warping, repairs to structure and veneers, extinct woodworm holes and surface wear/marks/repairs that are consistent with age. These features are to be expected on genuine antiques and add to their character and historical honesty. It is quite usual also for handles, drawer bottoms/runners, feet and other component parts to be replaced over the years.
