Here we have a very nice mid 19th century miners lamp. I am not going to pretend to be an expert in these but I believe it Is a Davy lamp?I think someone has used a little artistic licence in the 50s and painted the inner mesh gold?? Other than that it is� Nice condition although it has Been well used and has the appropriate knocks & marks.� The piece was made by 'E Thomas' and has the makers Mark to the top, with the words 'e thomas maker aberdare' � It also says 'No 10' The lamp measures 23cm tall Thanks for looking and good luck.
