Offering another piece of this gorgeous late 19thc to possibly just at the turn of the century antique French fabric. What a rare beauty this is. The design and color (a fabulous persimmon hue) are on this piece are fantastic. Almost a Napoleon III revival piece. Gorgeous medalions of roses, garlands and indigo bows adorn this lovely early piece. This is the sort of piece that would be outstanding framed in a fantastic period frame (I could picture it with an neat old early oval frame with possibly a large antigue bow used as the hanger to mimic the bow in the garland, wow!!) or a pillow would be phenomenal. I picture it with an old French ticking back (possibly indigo to offset the indigo bows). Would evoke an awesome old French feel. It would also make a stunning background for an antique doll display. Just so many possiblities (even satchet pillows filled with lavender and such would be wonderful). It's just too wonderful not to show off . Delightfully old fashioned with just a twist of flirtatious whimsy :) Simply charming. This piece measures 32 in (both selv) by aprox 21 in (larger scale but not huge, medallions are aprox a bit over 4 in). A nice dense cotton, mid to lighter weight. In very good early condition.
