This auction is for a wonderful antique circa 1800s Victorian French gold metal/metallic lace textile fragment on heavy wine velvet. The lace looks like hand-made torchon lace, but with gold-coated threads, which are yellow). It has very intricate metallic embroidery throughout, and due to age, t are threads that are worn and broken threads as well. T is a fragment of beautiful blue silk at the very top. The underside is lined with a muslin and has its original snaps. This apparently is from some type of vestment. The patination is not as bright as the photos depict, however, it still looks good and authentic in its shade. This is quite interesting for the textilist to be integrated into a creative project. This measures approximately 14.5" x 1 3/4". S&H is $2.00 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * I prefer a Money Order or Cashier's Check (NO personal checks) Domestic Mail.
