MOST BEAUTIFUL FINE QUALITY ANTIQUE VICTORIAN GEORGE WISH SILVER PLATED SWING HANDLE BASKET An truly superb, Very Fine quality (A1) Antique late 19th century, heavy, electroplated cake, bread or fruit serving basket by Famous Quality English Silversmiths George Wish of Sheffield . Most beautifully decorated with a very pretty and detailed bright cut engraved and chased scrolling fern design to the rectangular bowl. The decoration continues on the fluted border. With swing handle and stands on 4 ball feet. Highly Collectable, finest quality. Ideal as a Stylish Centrepiece, bread, cake or fruit serving basket. Also looks stunning when filled with fresh flowers as a bridal basket. This is one of my favourites with it's unusual Natural Design. The wonderful detail and craftsmanship is truly amazing, the pictures just don't do it enough justice this time. Measures 10.5" long x 7.5" deep x 2" high (not incl handle) approx. Beautifully well made and a good heavy weight 1kg approx (unpacked). Marked to base (see pic) makers mark for Famous Quality English Silversmith George Wish of Sheffield. c.late 19th century. Also interesting marked 'The Chelsea'. In Very Good, clean, bright Antique condition. No rubbing or dents. Fine surface scratching / abrasion commensurate with age /use.
