This telescope is 27" long when closed, and 41 1/2" when opened. It breaks apart into three pieces. The longest is the leather covered brass tube which provides the protection for the two inner pieces. his piece is 21 1/2" tall and about 2 3/4" outside diameter. The next longer piece is the brass tube that moves to bring the image into focus. It is 18 3/4" long and serves to keep the two lenses at the correct distance apart which looks to be between 12" and 13". The smallest piece is the bottom end piece. It is 4" long and provides protection for the lenses inside. There is also a brass shutter which closes over the top lens when not in use for protection. There is wear to the leather as well as the brass, and there is a 2" dent in one side. I would assume the wear came from being used on ships, as it works very well and does what it is supposed to do. We are a smoke free home. There are no handling fees and we reimburse excess postage. Payment is expected in 7 days and we will combine shipping with multiple orders. Thank you for looking and good luck if you bid.
