This Art Deco Style Lorgnette will make a wonderful addition to any Art Deco or Silver Lorgnette collection. This piece is stamped 835, consistent with early European silver. The detail work in the silver is stunning! The two eyeglass lenses of the lorgnette are held together by a spring activated release lever. When released the lenses extend out to spectacle form. The sprint is strong and the clip snaps them together nice and tight. The lenses are attached by a hinge to the Marcasite portion. The hinge is firm and strong. When folded into a clip formation the lorgnette becomes a brooch.Please see my other listings for other unique glasses and other optical items.
