Lovely double Albert watch chain in 9ct rose gold. Weighs 34 g on my kitchen scales which aren't the most sensitive, so I'm saying 33 g. One side has 47 graduated links and the other side has 46 graduated links. All links are hallmarked 9 and .375. The T bar is hallmarked with 9, .375 and the Birmingham anchor and also the maker's mark B & S, which I believe is Britton and Sons, gold chain makers in Birmingham from the mid-nineteenth century. The dog clasps have the same maker's mark - these are worn, but are still legible on one and recognisable on the other. From the style of this chain I believe it is Victorian or Edwardian. The T bar is a lovely long 1.5 inches. The total length of the chian including the clasps is 15" - about 7.5 inches each side plus a bit in the middle. There is an extra little bit of chain from the T bar for a fob. The chain will be sent by special delivery.
